Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus May 2022

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for May! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $13.00 a month and each month is a different theme. With Glam Bag you are able to choose one product that goes into your bag. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $28.00 a month and includes 5 full sized products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your bag and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer a quarterly bag that replaces your Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus called Glam Bag X. This box is $55.00 a quarter and includes 8 full sized products from higher end brands. Glam Bag X is usually curated by a special celebrity/influencer. With all subscriptions you also have the option to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I am currently subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus and Glam Bag X. The theme for this month is "Wild Beauty". Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month! I will link all of the products in the description above each picture.

Il Makiage Color Boss Squad in Make Moves $42.00

This is the first item that I chose for my bag. I received another Color Boss Squad palette in a previous bag and really liked the formula of the shadows. Especially the shimmers. This is a more cool toned palette. I can't wait to give it a try.

Tresluce Beauty Lucete Glow Highlighter Duo in Cosmic + Upgrade $18.00

This is the first item that Ipsy chose for me. I have never tried out this brand before and am interested to see how I like it. This brand was created by Becky G and is sold at Ulta. These highlighter shades are so pretty! If they don't work for me as highlighters I could always use them as shadows. I could not find this exact palette as I think this was a product created specifically for Ipsy. She has a bigger highlighter palette which more shades which I linked above.

Mally Beauty Evercolor Shadow Stick in Moonlight Shimmer $25.00

This is the second item that I chose for my bag. I haven't tried many things by Mally Beauty but this shimmer stick looks really pretty. I think the shade will be pretty as an inner corner highlight or as a quick color all over the lid.

Dragun Beauty DragunGlass Liquid Lip in Dragun Blood $18.00

This is the third product that I picked for my bag. I already own two other DragunGlass shades and I really love the formula of this liquid lipsticks. They go on very liquidy but are super pigmented and comfortable on the lips. I don't have many reds but I'm sure I will be pulling this shade out really soon for the 4th of July.

Dr. Brandt Antioxidant Spray Toner $35.00

This is the second item that Ipsy chose for my bag. I use toner every day so I will be interested to see how I like this one compared to the others that I have. I couldn't find this product anywhere on the Dr. Brandt site or any other site that sells the brand. I'm assuming its a new launch that hasn't even come out yet.

This is the bag for May. I think it is so beautiful! Perfect for spring. I have been using it in my purse to store my makeup products that I keep in there.

IPSY PROMOTIONS
Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers" that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. You are also allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags" which again are bags of heavily discounted products.

Overall, I was really happy with this month's bag. I think I will use every product in the bag. I also love that Ipsy has not only included brands/products that I already really like but also introduced me to some new brands. I can't wait to see next months bag!
