Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus April 2022

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for April! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $13.00 a month and each month is a different theme. With Glam Bag you are able to choose one product that goes into your bag. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $28.00 a month and includes 5 full sized products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your bag and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer a quarterly bag that replaces your Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus called Glam Bag X. This box is $55.00 a quarter and includes 8 full sized products from higher end brands. Glam Bag X is usually curated by a special celebrity/influencer. With all subscriptions you also have the option to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I am currently subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus and Glam Bag X. The theme for this month is "Keep Growing". Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month! I will link all of the products in the description above each picture.

Sandbar Beauty The Mirage Palette $26.00

This is the first item I chose for my bag. I never heard of the brand before but I liked the color story of the shadows. The shades are pretty! I wish that the warm matte brown tone was a little lighter to work better as a transition shade. Either way the palette and nice and a good size for traveling.

Il Makiage Dirty Talk Lip Color in Elwa $26.00

This is the second item that I chose for my bag. I really like the formula of these lipsticks. The swatch on their website is way more neutral than the actual color of this lipstick. Its actually more of a true pink than a nude pink like it looks on the site. Its brighter than I normally wear but its a pretty pink for spring.

Yensa Beauty Super Serum Silk Foundation in Light Medium $45.00

This is the third item that I chose for my bag. I didn't even know Yensa had a new foundation out. I really like their CC Cream so I decided to try this out. This is said to be a full coverage foundation. I now prefer a more light to medium coverage but was still interested in trying it. The color is actually a pretty good match for me. I don't think the foundation is too matte or too heavy. It seems to be more of a medium coverage to me which I prefer. I thought it applied and wore really well!

KimChi Chic Beauty Puff Puff Pass Set + Bake Powder $18.00

This is the first item that Ipsy chose for me. I haven't tried the brand yet but I have a setting spray that I received in another subscription box. I use setting powder every time that I do my makeup so I will be trying this out soon!

Buttah Skin Tea Tree & Aloe Exfoliating Scrub $19.00

This is the second item that Ipsy chose for me. This was a nice mask. It had a cooling feeling that was really refreshing.

 

This is the bag for the month. It definitely gives off spring vibes.

Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers" that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. You are also allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags" which again are bags of heavily discounted products.

Il Makiage Dirty Talk Lip Color in Ariadna $26.00

I chose to pick up this lipstick since it was only $12 as part of Add-Ons. I thought it was going to be more nude rose but its a deep rose shade. It will be a nice shade for fall but I wouldn't have got it if I known it was this color.

Ofra Cosmetics On the Glow Professional Palette $59.00

I decided to pick this up too because it was only $18 in Add-Ons. Normally, an Ofra highlighter or bronzer goes for around $29-35 each. This palette includes 3 bronzers and 3highlighters which would go for $210 if purchased separately. This was an absolute steal. I really love the bronzer shades that I have tried. Rodeo Drive is an oldie but goodie and the other highlighters I'm sure I will like too. This palette is currently on sale for $59 which is also an amazing price for what you get. This was my favorite part of my bag this month.

Overall, I was pretty happy with my bag aside from the lipsticks not being the colors that I thought they were. I still think that this bag is an amazing value and I have been SO impressed with their Add-Ons lately.
