Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus December 2021

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for December! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $13.00 a month and each month is a different theme. With Glam Bag you are able to choose one product that goes into your bag. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $28.00 a month and includes 5 full sized products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your bag and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer a quarterly bag that replaces your Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus called Glam Bag X. This box is $55.00 a quarter and includes 7-8 full sized products from higher end brands. Glam Bag X is usually curated by a special celebrity/influencer. With all subscriptions you also have the option to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. The theme for this month is. "Time To Shine".  Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month! I will link all of the products in the description above each picture.

Ipsy Glam Bag Plus December 2021 "Time To Shine"

Here is what I received in my bag:

Shades By Shan Highlighter Palette $17.50

This was the first item that I chose for my bag. I have tried some other products from Shades By Shan in previous bag and liked them. This is a highlighter palette and its super pretty. I love that this palette offers 4 different highlighters for different skin tones. I will be able to use the lighter shades in the winter and the deeper shades in the summer.

Complex Culture Good Glow Blush Duo in So Chill + Glow Rush $15.00

This was the first item that Ipsy chose for me. I have tried many Complex Culture products through Ipsy and they are really nice. I don't love pink toned blushes in general but the shade to the right is a warmer pink that has a peachy/apricot tone to it. It gives a super pretty glow. I will probably reach for that shade more than the matte cool toned shade on the left.

UOMA Beauty Badass Icon Matte Lipstick in Maya $24.00

This was the second item that I chose for my bag. I thought that the color looked pretty and was something that I might wear. I really love this shade! Its a pretty rosey-brown shade and the formula is great. I want to try more lipsticks by this brand.

Rodial Glass Primer $39.00

This was the second item that Ipsy chose for me. I didn't love this primer. It ended up making my makeup look patchy over it when I applied it. I may give it one more try before putting it my friend/family giveaway bag.

Complex Culture Nail Polish Duo in Dream + Thrive $24.00

This was the last item that I chose for my bag. Its not currently on their website so maybe its a new product or one made exclusively for Ipsy. I love green its one of my favorite colors. I don't normally wear nail polish and don't have many. Most of mine are old so I figured I would pick these up and maybe try to paint my nails some time soon?

This is the themed bag for the month. I think that it is super pretty and cute. I already decided to put it in my purse to hold all of my makeup products in there.

Ipsy messed up and accidentally sent me this hair product instead of the nail polishes that I chose. They shipped out the nail polishes and I got this extra product. Not the worst problem to have.

Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers" that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. You are also allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags" which again are bags of heavily discounted products.

Overall, this wasn't my all time favorite bag but it was pretty decent. My favorite product was most definitely the UOMA Beauty lipstick. I am excited to see the featured products for January!
