Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus September 2021

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for September! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $13.00 a month and each month is a different theme. With Glam Bag you are able to choose one product that goes into your bag. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $28.00 a month and includes 5 full sized products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your bag and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer a quarterly bag that replaces your Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus called Glam Bag X. This box is $55.00 a quarter and includes 7-8 full sized products from higher end brands. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). With all subscriptions you also have the option to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I am currently subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. The theme for this month's bag is "Back To". Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month! I will link all of the products in the description above each picture.

Il Makiage Color Boss Squad - Multi Dimensional Eye Color in The Real Deal $36.00

This was the first product that Ipsy chose for me. I get a complimentary Ipsy creator box sent to me each month which includes an assortment of the products featured in Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus for that month. I already received this quad in that box and really like it! I'm actually pretty impressed with the formula and pigmentation and the brand in general. The shades are so pretty! I will probably save this extra as a gift.

Dragun Beauty DragunGlass Matte Liquid Lip in Bad Bitch $18.00

This was the second item that Ipsy chose for me. I was really excited to see this brand featured this month and was hoping that I would get to try this product. This shade is a nude pink. The formula is very watery which I was not expecting. That being said, it dries down very nicely and is extremely comfortable on the lips. It almost feels like you aren't wearing anything at all. Its considered a matte but I don't think its a true matte. I would call it a demi matte or almost a satin finish. It does have a little transfer but it doesn't bother me at all considering how comfortable it is on the lips.

Dragun Beauty DragunGlass Matte Liquid Lip in Nikita $18.00

This was the first product that I chose in my bag. Even though Ipsy already chose this product for me in Bad Bitch I figured that that this shade was different enough to get both. This shade is a pinky mauve and is really nice! I really like the color and its so comfortable on the lips.

Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten Marbleized Blush in Tropic Hues $28.00

This was the second item that I chose for my bag. Its a marbled coral, gold, and pink swirl in a satin finish. I actually already have this same blush but I don't think I liked my other options offered. I'm not upset about having a duplicate because this is one of my top five favorite blushes that I own. It gives such a beautiful glow and isn't too bright pink for my liking.

RealHer Power Wear Liquid Foundation $36.00

This was the third item that I chose for my bag. It is a new launch from the brand and is a probiotic foundation. The shade that was offered to me is I Am Devine which is considered nude. Hopefully it matches me but if not I'm sure I can make it work by adding a powder and concealer on top. This foundation is super liquid-y which I wasn't expecting. We will just have to wait and see how it works for me.

This is the themed bag for the month. I think its really cute. It gives me both Clueless vibes and fall vibes.

Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers" that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. You are also allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags" which again are bags of heavily discounted products.

Laura Geller Baked Blush-n-Brighten Marbleized Blush in Pink Grapefruit $28.00

I decided to pick this up as well as it was a good price in add ons. I want to say it was around $12.00. I already know I love the formula of this blush and the color is pretty. Its a soft peach, bronze, and warm pink with a satin finish.

Patrick Ta Beauty Monochrome Moment Velvet Blush in She's Seductive $32.00

I also decided to pick up this blush as well. I have wanted to try Patrick Ta products for a while as I hear they are really nice. They are also on the mid to higher end price wise so this was a great deal. I think this was also around $15 or less.  This shade is a mauve plum and its a velvety/satin finish. I already tried it and think its super pretty.

Overall, I was really happy with this month's bag. I will use all of the products and am glad that I picked up some great add-ons. My favorite product from this month's bag is the Dragun Beauty liquid lips. I can't wait to see what products will be featured next month!
