Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus June 2021

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for June! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $12.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $25.00 a month and includes 5 full sized products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your box and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer a quarterly upgrade from your Glam Bag Plus called Glam Bag X. This box is $55.00 a quarter and includes 7-8 full sized products from higher end brands. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). For Glam Bag you are able to pick two items in your bag. With all subscriptions you also have the option to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I am currently subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. The theme for this month's bag is "Do You". Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month! Here are the products that I got in my bag:

Real Her Makeup Dreams So Big Eyeshadow Palette $28.00

This is the first item that Ipsy chose for me. Its a pretty mauve palette. I think its a new launch. I haven't decided if I am keeping it or saving it for a giveaway since I have purchased a bunch of shadows lately. If I decide to keep it I will share swatches on Instagram.

Tarte Sea Hydrocealer Concealer $25.00

This is the second item that Ipsy chose for me. I have never tried this concealer before and am already a fan of Tarte products. The color seemed right as well. I tried it the other day and its a bit lighter than what I would have liked but I am also darker than I normally am since I have been tanning. This will probably match me better in the fall when my tan fades. I don't love the formula as much as the Tarte Shape Tape or my ColourPop Pretty Fresh Concealers. Its thinner and not as good coverage.

Tanais Sunset To Stars Lip Oil Duo $50.00

This is the first item I chose for my bag. These lip oils looked really pretty and I liked that I got two products in one choice. I tried the mauve shade and it is very pretty! It smells amazing and feels so nice on the lips. It gives a decent wash of color but not anything super opaque or pigmented. Either way I am happy that I chose this and will be taking these with me on vacation in a few weeks.

Ofra Cosmetics Cool As A Cucumber Primer $20.00

This is the second item that I chose. I haven't tried any Ofra primers before but I do love their highlighters, bronzers, blushes, and lip products. I chose this because cooling primers are really nice in the warmer months. I can't wait to try this out.

Purlisse Pineapple Bright Gel Cream $24.00

This is the last item that I chose for my bag. I have tried many Purlisse moisturizers and they are all really nice. One of my all time favorite moisturizers is the Purlisse Watermelon Aqua Balm. It smells amazing and the gel cream formula really works well with my skin. I can imagine that this will smell awesome too and its the same gel cream formula. I will be taking this on my trip as well.

The themed bag is cute this month but kind of childish. I probably won't use it but it's not a huge deal for me.

IPSY PROMOTIONS
Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers" that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. You are also allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags" which again are bags of heavily discounted products.

Overall, I was pretty happy with this bag. I will use most if not all of the products in the bag. I am most excited about the Purlisse Moisturizer, Ofra Primer, and Tanais Lip Oils. I can't wait to see next month's bag.
