Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus April 2021

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for April!  For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $12.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $25.00 a month and includes 5 FULL SIZED products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your box and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They recently discontinued Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate and replaced it with a quarterly upgrade called Glam Bag X. This box is $55.00 a quarter and includes 7-8 FULL SIZED products from higher end brands. I am currently only subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). For Glam Bag Plus, you get your products in a drawstring bag which is also themed. For Glam Bag you are able to pick two items in your bag. You are also able to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. The theme for this month's bag is "Force of Nature". Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month!

Here are the products that I received in my bag:

Belle En Argent Panchromatic Eyeshadow Palette in Nude Intuitive $30.00

This is the first product that Ipsy chose for me. The palette is pretty and they are all colors that I would use. However, I'm not sure if I am going to keep it or gift it since I have another palette that is very similar color wise.

K Voss NYC Heye Lighter Luminous Highlighter Palette $36.00

This was the second item that Ipsy chose for me. Again, definitely something that I would use. The highlighters are actually really pretty. The third shade is too dark for me to use as a highlighter but would work well as a shimmery bronzer or blush topper. This palette would probably work great with all skin tones because of the range of the 3 highlighters.

Ofra Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Pink Panther $15.00

This is the first item that I chose. I don't normally like pink but it looked pretty neutral in tone. The color is a little lighter than I thought but its pretty sheer. I normally like the formula of Ofra Lip Glosses but this one is different from the other one that I own. Its thinner and more runny on the lips if that makes sense. I will probably pass this on to a friend.

Babe Lash Essential Serum $65.00

This is the second item that I chose. I got so excited when I saw it as a choice. I have been using this lash serum for over 2 years. It works great but is not cheap! The fact that I was able to get this in my bag along with 4 other full size products for $25.00 is a steal. It makes the whole bag worth it. I have linked it above where you can purchase this serum.

NEUMA reNeu Scalp Therapy $28.00

This was the third item that I chose. I wasn't excited about it but didn't like the other options. I'm sure I will give it a try at some point.

This month's bag was cute and summery. It reminds me of coral reef.

IPSY PROMOTIONS
Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers" that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. You are also allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags" which again are bags of heavily discounted products.

Lauren Conrad Beauty The Lipstick in Shell $20.00

I decided to add on this lipstick for $12.00 because I was interested in trying out the brand and the color looked like something that I would wear. I actually really like the shade and formula of it.

Overall, this wasn't the most exciting bag but the Babe Lash alone made this whole bag worth it. The total value far exceeded $25.00 and for that alone I love subscription boxes. I can't wait for next month!
