Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus February 2021

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for February! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $12.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $25.00 a month and includes 5 FULL SIZED products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your box and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They recently discontinued Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate and replaced it with a quarterly upgrade called Glam Bag X. This box is $50.00 a quarter and includes 8 FULL SIZED products from higher end brands. I am currently only subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). For Glam Bag Plus, you get your products in a drawstring bag which is also themed. For Glam Bag you are able to pick two items in your bag. You are also able to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. The theme for this month's bag is "Send Love". Ipsy Glam Bag Plus February 2021 "Send Love"

Here are the products that I received in my bag:

Maelle Beauty Sunkissed Blush Palette $29.00

This was the first item that Ipsy chose for me. This palette is really pretty but I don't love the way that the colors are separated. It makes it hard to be able to use only one color. I also don't gravitate towards these blush shades. You are able to swirl your brush in a few different shades to create a custom color.

Glow On 5th Bye, Bye Puffy Eyes $24.00

This is my first choice item. I wasn't crazy about my options but I use eye cream 2x a day so I know that this will get used. 

NABLA Cosmetics Major Pleasure Mascara $19.00

This was my second choice item. I have wanted to try this brand for quite a while. I am excited to try this mascara and see how I like it.

We Are Fluide Browzey Brow Gel in Clear $12.00

This was my third choice item. Again, I wasn't crazy about the choices and know I will use this clear brow gel at some point which is why I chose it.

F.A.R.A.H. Rendezvous Brush Trio $40.00

This was the second product Ipsy chose for me. I have so many brushes that getting new ones don't excite me. However, they do feel very soft and pretty good quality.

This bag is pretty cute and totally fitting for Valentine's day. This will also be a cute bag to hold my lip products in my purse.

IPSY PROMOTIONS
Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers"that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. Lastly, you are allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags".

Complex Culture Beauty Full Time Eyeshadow Palette: The Party Edit $28.00

I already own and love the Full Time Eyeshadow Palette Edit 1. I am so impressed with the quality of Complex Culture shadows. I saw this palette not too long ago and knew I wanted to get it. I had to pick it up in the Add Ons because it was less than half the normal price. What a steal! I've already used it and can tell you I love this one as well! 

Overall, this wasn't my favorite bag but I got a lot of useful items and it was definitely a great value. I was upset that I was offered two different brands of foundation in my choices but neither of the shades offered would have matched me. I reached out to my contact at Ipsy about maybe offering a full range of shades when offering foundation/complexion products. She said that she would pass my feedback to her team. I think that getting the Complex Culture palette as part of my add ons made me more happy with this bag. I can't wait to see our choice items for March!
