Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for December! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $12.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $25.00 a month and includes 5 FULL SIZED products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your box and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer another box called Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate. This box is $50.00 a month and includes 8 FULL SIZED products and 4 deluxe/sample sized products. I am currently only subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). For Glam Bag Plus, you get your products in a drawstring bag which is also themed. For Glam Bag you are able to pick two items in your bag. With Glam Bag Ultimate you are able to pick one. You are also able to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I was so impressed with my Glam Bag Plus last month. The theme for this month's bag was Home for the Holidays. Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month!
Ipsy Glam Bag Plus December 2020 "Home for the Holidays"
This was the first item Ipsy chose for me. It is a new product release so its cool that it was featured in Ipsy first. I love the packaging and think its really cool.
Here is a close up of the palette:
Complex Culture Overtime Blush & Contour Duo $35.00
Ofra Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Truffle $15.00
This is the last item I chose. I am already a fan of Ofra Cosmetics. Their highlighters and liquid lipsticks are really nice. The color of this looks pretty dark in the tube but since its a lip gloss I knew it would be sheer. Its actually really pretty. It gives a slight wash of shimmer and color on your lips and smells delicious!
The colors are pretty but I decided not to swatch it because I'm not sure if I will keep it or gift it. I have an overload of palettes right now and need to get rid of some before I start opening any more.
I have really liked the two previous Complex Culture products that I received so I decided to chose this item to try out as well. Again, the packaging is so luxe. The blush is a nice subtle pink but I didn't love the contour shade. I don't really contour and would use it more as a bronzer and it didn't love it as a bronzer shade. I can make it work but its not my favorite.
Here is a swatch of each:
Complex Culture Set, Go Translucent Finishing Powder $28.00I chose this item for my bag as well. At first, I thought this was a setting powder but its actually a finishing powder which is different. Its not meant to set your under eyes or anything like that but to use all over your face. It has a slight shimmer/sheen to it so I am interested to see how I like it.

This is the second item that Ipsy chose for me. It was missing from my back so I customer service. They were very quick in responding and correcting the issue. They reshipped the palette and I just got it the other day. The colors are very pretty! I have already used this palette and like it alot. The shades are all very wearable and I see myself reaching for them often.

IPSY PROMOTIONS
Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers"that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. Lastly, you are allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags".
Overall, this wasn't my favorite month's bag but it also wasn't bad by any means. The Ofra lip gloss and Love Craft Blush Palette were my favorite products so far but I haven't had a chance to try everything. It's still a great value and a good way to try new brands and products. I always get excited to pick my items each month! I can't wait to see the products that I get to choose from. I did see some Farmacy spoilers so far!
