Review: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus November 2020

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for November! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $12.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $25.00 a month and includes 5 FULL SIZED products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your box and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer another box called Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate. This box is $50.00 a month and includes 8 FULL SIZED products and 4 deluxe/sample sized products. I am currently only subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). For Glam Bag Plus, you get your products in a drawstring bag which is also themed. For Glam Bag you are able to pick two items in your bag. With Glam Bag Ultimate you are able to pick one. You are also able to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I was so impressed with my Glam Bag Plus last month. The theme for this month's bag was Be Present. Keep reading to see what I got in my bag this month!

Complex Culture Full Time Eyeshadow Palette-Edit 1 $28.00

This is the first item that Ipsy chose for me. I received a brush from them in a previous Glam Bag Plus but didn't know they had makeup. It looks like the recently launched their makeup products. This palette is the PERFECT palette to travel with. it has neutral, warm, and cool toned eyeshadows in three different color categories. Taupes, warm browns, and mauves. Since I am someone that wears neutral makeup 95% of the time, these are the three main color categories that I always wear. I love that you can create a full look with this palette and that it has a mix of mattes and neutrals. The shadows are creamy and very pigmented. I was very impressed after using this palette. I had no creasing or fading throughout the day. The packaging is also beautiful and feels luxurious. I am so happy with this palette. It makes me want to purchase another palette from the brand.

Complex Culture Deal Closer Tinted Lip Cream in Espresso $18.00

This is the first item that I chose in my bag. They offered 3 different shades. I went with the Espresso which is more of a brownish shade compared to the color it pulls in the picture. I went with this product because I was interested to try another product from Complex Culture. Again, the packaging is so nice and luxurious. I love the frosted tube. The formula of this lip product is very velvety and soft. It feels great on the lips. Its a tinted lip cream so its not super pigmented. It gives a soft tint to your lips. I like it especially having to put a mask on and off all day long. If you aren't a fan of pigmented lip color you will like this subtle lip product.

Trestique Good Vibes Macara + Lash Curler $25.00

This is the second item that Ipsy picked for my bag. I believe that I received this mascara in a different subscription box in the past. I didn't mind the mascara but it wasn't my favorite. I personally wasn't a fan of the lash curler. I have alot of lashes and they are very long so a normal lash curler works alot better. I do supposed this would come in handy if you do your makeup on the go and carry minimal products with you.

Item Beauty Lid Glaze in Desert Weekend $14.00

This is the second item that I chose for my bag. They offered a few different shades and I picked one of the lighter ones. This is a subtle gold/champagne sand color and would be good if you are looking for something quick to apply to your lids just to give them a little sparkle. I haven't used it yet but I think it would be a nice shadow topper as well.

Julep Eyeshadow 101 Creme to Powder Eyeshadow Stick in Bronze Shimmer $14.00

This is the third item that I chose for my bag. Again, they offered a few different shades but I went with a neutral one that I thought I would use the most. This is a nice bronze color. I have been loving shadow sticks. This one is really creamy and has nice pigmentation. I think this too would be great for someone on the go. You can throw it in your bag, apply it to the lids and blend it out with your finger. Easy peasy.

This is the bag that was designed for November. I do think it gives fall vibes and like the colors going on.

Overall, I was very happy with this month's bag. I already really loved Ipsy and thought that they did a great job picking the items and having them be personalized for me. However, being able to choose 3 of the items each month makes me even more happy with my purchase each month. The mascara is the only item that I was so/so[ about but I know I will use it eventually. I was so blown away by the Complex Culture products and cannot wait to see which items are featured in next month's bag!
