Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for October! For those of you unfamiliar with Ipsy Glam Bag, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 5 deluxe/sample sized products each month. The subscription is $12.00 a month and usually has a theme. They also offer an upgraded box every month called Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. This box is $25.00 a month and includes 5 FULL SIZED products. You are able to choose 3 of the products in your box and Ipsy chooses 2 for you. Ipsy's picks are based of your beauty quiz/product reviews. They also offer another box called Ipsy Glam Bag Ultimate. This box is $50.00 a month and includes 8 FULL SIZED products and 4 deluxe/sample sized products. I am currently only subscribed to Ipsy Glam Bag Plus. All three subscriptions come with a themed makeup bag each month (different sizes per subscription type). For Glam Bag Plus, you get your products in a drawstring bag which is also themed. For Glam Bag you are able to pick two items in your bag. With Glam Bag Ultimate you are able to pick one. You are also able to skip a month whenever you feel like it which is a huge bonus offering. I was so impressed with my Glam Bag Plus last month.
I also found out some exciting news at the end of August. I am part of Ipsy's Beauty Influencer Community called Ipsy Open Studios (Ipsy OS). They started a new Ipsy OS program where they send their influencers complimentary Ipsy Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus each month to showcase the subscription to their followers. I decided that I am still going to keep the Glam Bag Plus subscription that I pay for as well because I REALLY love the choice feature that is now offered. Ipsy Glam Bag Plus October 2020 "Ipsy Magic"
This was the first item that Ipsy chose for me. I was happy to see that it was an eyeshadow palette and pretty colors for fall. I wasn't super excited about the brand when I first saw it. The packaging is really nice and goes well with the Ipsy theme for the month. The shimmers are definitely the stand out products in this palette. The mattes are soft and creamy but the lightest matte brow is almost gray on my skin which is weird. Overall, not a bad palette and I can't wait to try it out this weekend. This is the first item that I chose for my Glam Bag Plus. Even thought its another palette, I thought it was the best deal compared to the other items offered. You get 8 shadows and a highlighter which is pretty cool. I have used Doucce products in the past and they aren't my absolute favorite but they are still nice. The highlighter is a really pretty shade and I love that you can create a full look with these eyeshadows. I like the mixture of matte and shimmers offered. The shimmers are really nice and pigmented. The mattes aren't as pigmented but are buildable. I think this is a great basic palette for someone that doesn't own alot of makeup or is new to makeup. This is the second choice item that I picked for my bag. I loved that you got two products in one. I have never tried any products from this brand before but it seems really cute and fun. I wish the liquid lipstick was a more neutral color but its really not as bright as it looks in the pic. Who knows maybe I will like it paired with the rose gold lip gloss. Either way I am interested in trying them both out to see if I like the formulas.
This is the third choice item that I chose for my bag. Normally, I don't love getting brushes because I have so many but I don't have many powder brushes and this one looked really nice. It seems really good quality and the bristles are so soft! I can't wait to try it.
This was the second item that Ipsy chose for my bag. I was really happy about that because I love Tarte and its one of my favorite brands. Even more so, I love the Shape Tape concealer and this is the loose setting powder in that line. I can't wait to use it. I actually got a different product in my bag when I got it in the mail. I emailed Ipsy support about the mix up and they responded in less than an hour apologizing and letting me know they were sending me the missing product. It actually came sooner than they said it would too. That to me is amazing customer service.
This is the item that I received in my box instead of the Tarte Shape Tape Setting Powder. If I wasn't super excited to get the Tarte powder I would have just kept it and not said anything. Either way, I know I will use this because its a pretty good exfoliant. I was pretty pumped to get an extra item this month.

IPSY PROMOTIONS
Ipsy offers discounts and cash back on brands/products featured in each month's glam bag. You are able to purchase full sized products that are sampled/or featured in the Glam Bag that month. The products are discounted from normal price and you can get cash bag on the purchase. They also offer "Ipsy Offers"that are discounted beauty bundles from different brands. Lastly, you are allowed to add "Add Ons" to your Glam Bag Plus which are other items featured that month that are not part of your personal box. These items are heavily discounted. Lastly, they offer "Mystery Bags".
Overall, I was pretty happy with this months bag. I thought that the theme was cute and loved the bag design. I was happy with the choice options that I got to choose from as well as the two items that Ipsy chose for me. I was very happy that Ipsy quickly fixed their mistake of sending me one of the wrong items and that I got an extra item in the mix up. I was really impressed with the customer service. I think that this bag was definitely worth the $25.00 that I paid and can't wait to see which items are featured next month!
