Best of Fashion 2019

Hey Guys,
Since I created a Best of Beauty 2019 I decided to do a dedicated fashion edition as well. You can check out my Best of Makeup 2019 here and Best of Skincare 2019 here. On to the fashion! Below I will be discussing both specific items as well as trends that I was loving in the past year. There were some standout products/trends that I loved and decided to narrow the list down to things that I was OBSESSED with this past year. Keep reading to hear about the fashion pieces and trends that I was loving in 2019!

Michael Kors Dome Crossbody Bags

Over the years I have become a big fan of Michael Kors handbags. I own a handful of larger bags but I definitely feel like these dome bags are my favorite. I got one of my bags at TJ Maxx, one at the Michael Kors outlet, and one off Poshmark. Even though I carry around a larger bag during the week, I always switch over to these small dome crossbodys on the weekend. They are small enough that they are not a pain to carry but large enough to fit all the essentials plus some. They are perfect for running errands, exploring different places, going out to dinner, or out to bars/clubs. Prior to discovering these crossbodys, I used to use wristlets when I went out to dinner or for drinks because I hated having to carry around a big bag. The negative side of wristlets are that they are small and you can only fit so much in them. You also still have to carry it around your wrist which can get heavy if you have your phone in there. I can be hands free with these crossbodys and they allow me to fit everything from my phone, money/cards, makeup, medicine, my cell phone, and even a small wallet! I am obsessed with these and will be taking one to Italy as my main purse I will use on my trip.

Xixi Jewelry

Xixi is a newer jewelry brand that came out in 2019. The brand was created by Adrienne (Balion) Houghton. For those of you unfamiliar with her, she was in the R&B/Pop group 3LW in the late 90s/early 2000 and in the Disney Channel TV show/girl group The Cheetah Girls a few years later. This brand is very affordable and has great quality fashion/costume jewelry. I have purchased a ton of pieces since the brand first launched. The jewelry will eventually change color if you get it wet or use lotions/perfumes etc while wearing it. However overall, I have been very impressed with the quality of the jewelry as well as the customer service from this company. I had a few pieces that had defects and they replaced the items right away with no questions asked. Above I have included a picture of some of my favorite pieces that I've purchased. The pieces that I wear the most are the Huggie Earrings from the Essentials Collection, At the Cross Earrings and Angels All Around from the Faith and Familia Collection, and the Golden Hour Necklace from the Summer Solstice Collection. The Classic Bohemian Layered Necklace is another favorite it just gets tangled easily because of the three layers. They have sales every so often which allows you to get the jewelry for even lower prices. I can't wait to see what other collections Adrienne comes out with!

Snakeskin Print

I have been so obsessed with snakeskin towards the end of 2019. I have purchased everything in this print; from bodysuits, to shoes, to dresses and workout clothes. I just love it and think its so fashionable and trendy. You can easily dress the print up or down depending on what you wear with it. Below are some of my favorite snakeskin pieces that I purchased this past year.

Booty By Brabants Leggings

Booty By Brabants was created by Kelly Brabants. She also created and teaches the most sought after fitness classes in Boston. Her mother is from Brazil and brought her back a pair of leggings from there after visiting one time. She loved them so much and they gave her the idea of creating her own line of leggings. The fabrics are from Brazil and she has a whole team of seamstresses that make the legging there as well. BBB leggings are my favorite leggings that I have ever owned. They are a bit of an investment but are so flattering on your booty and great quality. They have a thick forgiving waistband and are also really comfortable! BBB leggings come in a ton of different colors and textures. Her collections also include sports bras, jackets, tank tops, shorts, headbands and more. Some of the collections also come in plus sizes and kids. I own the original fabric in Bom Bom (black), Verde (olive), Acai (berry/plum), and Royal (blue). I also have 2 pairs that are discontinued. Unfortunately, I accidentally made a hole in my Verde leggings the first day I wore them. It was right on the butt too so I can only wear them with a longer top. My favorite colors are the Bom Bom because it matches everything and the Acai. I have my eyes on a few other pairs including the mermaid, little black leggings, CoBBBra, tye die, and croco fabric. Even though these are workout pants you can still dress them up and wear them with sweaters and blouses as regular clothing.  She doesn't offer discounts often so when she does I highly suggest taking advantage. I can't wait to pick up a few more pairs!

Teddy Jackets/Pullovers

The last thing I have been obsessed with in the past year are teddy jackets. I have purchased a bunch from several different places. They are just so warm and cozy. My most recent purchase is a teddy jacket from Shein which is in the picture above. Its such a great affordable jacket and keeps you super warm! In the Shein jacket I did size up to a large. If you want an even more oversized look I suggest going 2 sizes up. These teddy style jackets and hoodies are popping up in every fashion retailer. Below are some of my favorites!
