Review: Erno Laszlo Antioxidant Complex for Eyes, Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse, and White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel

Today I'm going to share my thoughts on some Erno Laszlo products that were gifted to me a couple of months ago. For those of you unfamiliar with the brand, Dr. Erno Laszlo was a skincare expert that created formulas and prescriptions for different skincare concerns. He prescribed ritual skincare routines for his clients and introduced cleansing oils and bars as the double cleanse that we know today. He opened his first institute in Budapest in 1927. He then moved to New York opening his first institute there in 1939. Some of his most famous clients included Hollywood's Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, and Greta Garbo as well as America's First Lady Jackie Onassis. The Erno Laszlo brand continues to carry on his legacy into today. Keep reading to hear about the products that I picked up! 

Antioxidant Complex for Eyes $80.00

Here is what is said about this product on the Erno Laszlo site:
"A refreshing gel cream that brightens dark circles, while cleansing, de-puffing and improving the feel of skin's elasticity. Cooling but potent, it revitalizes the delicate skin around your eyes, firming and restoring a youthful look. This featherweight formula brightens, revives and conditions tired eyes with natural brightening, and hydrating antioxidant."

Key Ingredients:

-Mulberry Extract-Helps to lighten skin's appearance.
-Vitamin C-A powerhouse antioxidant, to rejuvenate for healthy, glowing skin.
-Aloe Vera-A centuries’ old skin soother—to replenish lost moisture with skin-plumping hydration.

On to my thoughts:

When I first applied this product it felt very cool on the skin. It's a gel so it soaks right in. It does tend to dry a bit sticky so I choose to use this eye gel in the PM only. When applied, it makes my eyes feel super hydrated and soothed. I do wish it had a pump instead of having to use a little stick to get the product out. My dark circles are still apparent but I have honestly tried so many different eye creams/gels and nothing has ever made them go away. 

Pore Refining Detox Double Cleanse $55.00

Here is what is said about this product on the Erno Laszlo site:

"A refreshing morning cleanse, this single, innovative formula does the work of two— cleansing overnight impurities from pores while smoothing away buildup on the surface. The formula does double duty. An easy, convenient alternative to our signature two-step cleansing system. Formula includes a blend of super fruits to refine and cleanse skin."

Key Ingredients:

-Black Charcoal-Works as a magnet to draw out dirt, impurities and pollutants.

-Fruit Enzyme Complex- Harnesses super fruits to clarify and smooth skin.

-Kale Protein-Combines mega-nutrients to restore skin

On to my thoughts:

This cleanser has a pump that I do prefer on all skincare products. In terms of the consistency, I do prefer my cleansers to have exfoliating beads in them. My skin does feel clean when using this and I like the ingredients. However, after it my skin feels tight and I need to apply moisturizer right away. This cleanser wasn't bad but I think it might be better for people with very oily skin.

White Marble Dual Phase Vitamin C Peel $100.00

Here is what is said about this product on the Erno Laszlo site:

"Powered by super-nutrient Vitamin C, our clarifying two-step peel gently polishes skin as it fades the appearance of dark spots and discoloration. Exfoliate and brightening—you simply peel away to uncover instant radiance. Your complexion feels instantly new: smoother, even-toned and illuminated. Protective antioxidants combine to refine and renew skin, such as age-defying actives and brightening ingredients."

Key Ingredients:

-Vitamin C-The formula’s star multi-tasker—to reduce the appearance of dark spots and dullness, and lighten skin.
-Carrot Seed Oil-Balance dry or chapped skin, while helping diminish the appearance of age spots and sun damage.
-Lactic Acid-gently exfoliates skin so it’s properly prepped to absorb brightening, and hydrating nutrients.

On to my thoughts:

This was my favorite product of the 3 that I tried! It is a 2 step peel that you can do in minutes. First you apply the exfoliant and then you apply the activator. This is a pretty powerful at home peel so if you have sensitive skin I suggest you try out on your arm first. My skin instantly feels smooth and looks radiant after using this peel. I have been using it once a week for the past few months and have been very pleased with the results.

Overall, I really enjoyed trying all 3 of these products. I am fascinated with the history behind the brand and think it's really cool to hear about how skincare routines started back during the old Hollywood days. These products are definitely an investment so I suggest doing you research and reading into each product before deciding which one you would like to try.
