Today I'm going to share my thoughts on my BoxyCharm for April. For those of you unfamiliar with BoxyCharm, it is a monthly beauty subscription box. You receive 4-5 FULL SIZED products each month. The subscription is $21.00 a month and usually has a theme. The theme for April was "Eye Candy". I was so excited to see that everyone was getting a ColourPop palette this month. It's one of my favorite brands and there were 5 different palettes being sent out! Keep reading to see what I got and to hear thoughts. Also, make sure to check out the discount codes for April!

ColourPop Golden State of Mind Palette $20.00
This is an all shimmer/glitter palette. I wasn't disappointed that I got it but I do prefer palettes that have matte transition shades as well so that you are able to create a full look. Luckily I have a ton of palettes with mattes in them. That being said the colors are SUPER pigmented and pretty. They last all day with no creased or fading. These work best as lid shades in my opinion. I think you could make them even more pigmented by using them with Fix+ to give a foil effect. One of the other variations that was sent out was the Elements of Surprise palette. After seeing the looks people have created I really want that one too! ColourPop just has amazing palettes for such affordable prices. I have 3 on my wish list so far!

The Brow Gal Tonya Crooks The Instatint $22.00
I wasn't originally excited for this but after using it I really love it! It's very similar to the Essence Makeup Make Me Brows and Benefit Gimme Brow. Its a medium brown shade and adds little fibers to your brows to help fill in any gaps!
Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow Liquid Highlighter in Exposed $29.00
I love Tarte products but don't love cream or liquid highlighters. They just don't work for me. I struggle applying them and they always make a mess of my foundation. This is a pretty highlighter but I just have a hard time applying it and it ends up looking patchy or like I have a line across my face. I will pass this one to someone that feels more comfortable with liquid highlighter.
I haven't tried anything by this brand before. The color is super pretty but the formula is a miss for me. It's called a liquid lipstick but it's more of a thick gloss in my opinion. It never dries down and its sticky. It also bled outside my lip line which made me look hella crazy.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner Pore Purifying Mask $42.00
I always like seeing Dr. Brandt stuff in our BoxyCharm because their products are pretty expensive. I haven't heard of this mask but was excited to try it. People complained about the smell and said that it smelled like old fashioned perm smell. I agree. It doesn't smell good. However, I do think it works great and my skin felt super clean after using it.

Overall, this box was good but not my favorite. I had a couple things that didn't work for me but I loved the ColourPop palette and Instatint. I also liked the mask. It was a great value and I look forward to seeing what we are getting next month!
