Hey Guys,
Today I am going to share my thoughts on one of the most beautiful and unique palettes that I own. It's the Kathleen Lights x ColourPop Dream St. Palette! I honestly overlooked this palette when it first came out. It looked kind of boring to me and the blue didn't interest me at all. A few of the colors looked similar and I just really didn't give it much thought after the initial reveal. Since then, I started seeing a ton of pretty looks created with this palette. I decided to pick it up once ColourPop released their new Lux Lipsticks. They had 20% off Kathleen Lights palettes so I figured why not try it out for myself. Keep reading to hear my thoughts on this palette.
Here is what is said about this palette on the ColourPop site:
"Don’t blink, even for a second! You don’t want to miss our dreamiest palette yet. Super versatile warm toned nudes with rich pops of colour can take your look from heavenly to out of this world in only a few swipes. Mattes, metallics, satins - every shadow is buttery soft and so easy to blend. Think you can find a better palette? Dream on."
Here is a close up of the shadows:
This palette contains 6 mattes, 5 metallics, and 1 satin.
Overall, as I mentioned, this is the most unique palette that I own. It is so unbelievably gorgeous in person. Its also very versatile. You can create soft neutral looks with it as well as some very bold looks with rich colors. I created a beautiful rose gold/copper look below. I have been so impressed with these shadows. Kaleidoscope and Mermaid Boy are SO GORGEOUS. I can't wait to create a teal/silver look with this palette. I will make sure to post it on Instagram. All of the shadows are very consistent with all the other ColourPop palettes as they are very pigmented, creamy, and blend beautifully. I think this may not be the palette for EVERYONE. However, if you are looking for a mainly neutral palette but want a pop of bold color then you will love this!
