Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on some Borghese skincare products that were sent to me. I reviewed some of the make products a while back which you can check out HERE. Below I will be sharing my thoughts on the eye masks and two of their mud masks. Keep reading to hear more about these products!
Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body $38.00
Here is what is said about this product on the Borghese site:
"Our signature and classic Fango Active is a one-and-only, must-have, mineral-rich mud. It's a sensational step beyond everyday clean. Derived from traditional Tuscan treatments, its deep-down purifying power purges and minimizes pores. It exfoliates and helps surface cell turnover, imparting clarity. It hydrates and firms reducing fine lines and providing smooth, toned texture. Infused with Sweet Almond and Avocado Oils, this mud detoxifies and does away with dull skin, leaving skin radiant and refreshed.
Benefits:
Ingredients:
On to my thoughts:- Provides mineral nourishment and special absorbing action which rids skin of impurities
- Stimulates and improves skin tone with natural botanicals
- Moisturizes and softens skin with Avocado and Sweet Almond Oils
- Revitalizes skin, with our signature Acqua di Vita® Complex, reducing the signs of aging
Ingredients:
- Avocado and Sweet Almond Oils nourish and hydrate the skin
- Acqua di Vita® Complex hydrates and energizes, defending against dullness and aging"
I love mud masks in general so I was really excited to try these Borghese ones out. I especially love the ingredients of this mask. I also like that you don't need to keep it on long. 5-10 minutes is all that you need! This mask can also be used on your body which is cool. It does dry quickly and gets a bit itchy which may bother some people. Once you wash the mask off your face feels super clean and soft.
Borghese Fango Delicato Mud For Delicate Dry Skin $38.00
Here is what is said about this product on the Borghese site:
"A purifying treatment formulated to gently cleanse and detoxify, yet leaves the most fragile and sensitive skin feeling enriched and refreshed. Fango Delicato improves texture, restore suppleness and softens skin.
Benefits:- Hydrates and firms dry, delicate skin
- Repairs dry skin, promoting hydration and diminishing fines lines with Aloe Vera Gel, Oat Protein and Mango Butter
- Calms skin, restoring suppleness and vigor with Chamomile, Green Tea Extracts and Olive Oil
- Protects skin from the environment and helps restore suppleness with Vitamin E and Safflower Oil
- Soothes skin and restores its moisture balance with our signature Acqua di Vita Complex
Ingredients:
- Aloe Vera Gel reduces redness and calms the skin
- Oat Protein soothes and nourishes
- Mango Butter locks in moisture
- Acqua di Vita Complex hydrates and energizes the skin"
On to my thoughts:
Both masks have a clay scent and tingle a little bit when you first apply it. If the first mask is too harsh for your skin, this mask might work a lot better for you. It's created specifically for delicate or dry skin. The mask is only left on for 2-5 minutes. It also doesn't completely dry down like the other mud mask. This paired with the ingredients makes it more gentle on the skin. I found the mask very comfortable on the skin. I also really love the ingredients in this mask as well. I think that this mask is great for the winter when my skin gets especially itchy and dry and needs the extra hydration.
Here is what is said about this product on the Borghese site:
"The easy-to-use, multi-benefit eye sheet masks nourish, revitalize, soothe and brighten the under eye area. Restoring a youthful appearance for a well-rested, stress-free look. The ideal companion to a Borghese mask treatment.
Benefits:- Helps firm and sooth the skin
- Helps refine skin texture
- Builds moisture barrier and prevents moisture loss
- Boost skin elasticity
- Conditions and revives skin's vibrancy
- Includes 6 under eye sheet masks
Ingredients:
- Acai Fruit Extract and Avocado Fruit Extract smooth and firm the skin
- Arnica Montana Fruit Extract moisturizes and soothes
- Caffeine firms and restores radiance
- Pomegranate Fruit Extract and Olive Fruit Oil moisturize and protects against environmental damage"
I have tried a handful of different eye masks and these do the best job at hydrating and making my under eyes feel refreshed. The masks have a cool refreshing feeling when applied. They don't dry out quickly like other eye masks. They stay in place and don't slip and fall off. After using my eyes feel really hydrated, soothed, and refreshed.I also love the ingredients in these masks.
Overall, I really enjoyed trying these Borghese skincare products. The thing that really stood out to me in these products were the amazing ingredients that do wonders for your skin. I would definitely recommend all these products. The Restorative eye masks were my favorite. I think that the Fango Delicato Mud Mask is best for my skin in the winter when my skin is driest. The Fango Active Mud Mask will be better for the warmer months. I would love to try more makeup and skincare by Borghese Beauty!
