Hey Guys,
To continue on with my Essence Makeup favorites, today I am going to share face products. I will be discussing some of my favorite bronzers, highlighters, and blushes. You can check out my favorite lip products post HERE. Keep reading to hear about the face products!
Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder in Lighter Skin $4.99
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"For a sun-kissed, natural complexion! The Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder conjures up an irresistible natural-looking tan and has a great mattifying effect at the same time!"
On to my thoughts:
At first glance, this bronzer is giant! I also love that it is matte. I prefer matte bronzer over shimmers any day. I think it looks more natural. In the swatches above this looks a little on the orange side but on my face it doesn't look orange at all. I use this on my cheeks and around my forhead and such. I think it will be best for my skin once I am lighter. The darker shade would definitely work better for medium skin tones. That being said, its a for an everyday natural bronze look to warm up your face.
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"Contour up! This Essence duo Contouring Powder set accentuates features with a shimmering highlighter and sculpts with a matte bronzer."
On to my thoughts:
This is a great contour shade for me! It's not to orange or too muddy looking. I use this along with the Sun Club Matt Bronzer and love the look that I create with them both together. I use this darker matte bronzer shade for contouring and under my jawline etc and then the Sun Club bronzer on my cheeks, nose, etc to warm up my face. I don't love this highlight on my as its a bit too subtle but it may work for other people.
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"Blush addicted! This silky-soft, highly pigmented powder Essence Satin Touch Blush instantly provides your cheeks with glowing color and a light pearl effect."
On to my thoughts:
This is such a pretty natural blush! It has great pigmentation and isn't shimmery or glittery. It has a satin finish and gives your cheeks a nice peachy glow. It's great for everyday looks which is what I usually wear during the week. I think it goes with alot of makeup looks as well.
Essence Light Up Your Face Luminizer Palette $5.99
Here is what is said about this product on the Ulta site:
"These three highlighter powders in the Essence Light Up Your Face Luminizer Palette with light-reflecting pigments accentuate your features with a glowing finish. Use individually or blend together to create natural dimension."
On to my thoughts:
If you are looking for an in your face poppin' highlighter, this trio is not for you. These highlighters give more of a subtle "natural" highlight/glow. I'm not huge on highlighters in general. I like to wear them when I am going out at night or to a special event. For every day, I prefer a more subtle highlighter like these. Before writing this post I didn't realize you would blend them together to create a unique color. I was going to mention that my favorite shade is the one on the far right. It gives a subtle golden/bronze glow. I will have to try to blend them all together and see if I like how that looks as well!
Overall, these are great face products for an everyday look. I stress the word everyday because I feel like alot of Essence products are meant to be effortless and fuss free. Natural, everyday, and affordable are great words to describe the brand. Keep an eye out for my last Essence Favorites post which will include eye products!
