For those of you that follow me on Instagram and Snapchat you might have seen that Essence Makeup sent me a ton of products to try out. I've been testing them out for about a month and wanted to share my favorite products from the bunch. Since I have a lot that I feel are worth sharing, I decided to break them up in categories. This post will discuss my favorite lip products that I have been testing out. Keep reading to hear about the products and see swatches!
Essence Makeup Matt Matt Matt Lipsticks $3.99
Here is what is said about these lipsticks on the Ulta site:
"These Essence Matt Matt Matt Lipsticks easily glide over the lips with gorgeous, high impact color. The creamy texture gives you a long lasting matte finish without drying out the lips. Not tested on animals."

In this post I will be talking about three different types of Essence lipsticks. Their new Matt Matt Matt Lipsticks, Long Lasting Lipsticks, and Nude Long Lasting Lipsticks. I don't have the full line but have a few from each collection.
Although a low priced line, their little details such as their stamped logo on their lipsticks make them feel luxurious.

Of the three, this is my favorite formula. They are creamy and pigmented and have the best color pay off of the three lipstick collections I will talk about. This formula is not drying at all but like most matte lip products, the are most comfortable when you apply lip balm first. The darker colors are harder to wear without a liner. My favorite colors are It's a Statement and Perfect Match. It's a Statement is going to be an awesome lip color for the fall. Perfect Match is a color that I could wear as an everyday color.

This lipstick comes in 8 shades.
11 Nude Love-Nude with pink undertones
07 Natural Beauty- Light pink

These lipsticks are great for someone that likes a light wash of color or prefer a low maintenance lipstick. I wear these lipsticks when I just want a little color on my lips or don't want to be bothered by having to touch up color all day. I would say these have more of a satin finish as your lips do have some shine to them when applied. While I don't think these are long lasting, I do think they are very moisturizing. The color is buildable. These do need to be reapplied after food and drink but don't require careful application. My favorite color of the three is Barley There. It is a "my lips but better" shade for me. Nude Love is far too light on me right now since I'm pretty tan. I prefer Nudes that have more brown undertones than pink.

03 Come Naturally- Lilac Purple

These are similar in formula to the long lasting lipsticks but I feel that they have more color payoff. I purchased Cool Nude in the winter and loved it. It's a mauve color and I reach for it alot. Come Naturally was the shade that was sent for me. It's more of a lilac nude if that makes any sense. It's not bright in in your face but def is a purpleish color compared to Cool Nude which is a pinkish/brownish purple. I wore it last week with a cool toned look that I created and I really liked how it looked. I think Cool Nude is more of an every day purple tone but Come Naturally is more of a fun purple color.
Overall, I really enjoy Essence lipsticks. I think they are super affordable and low maintenance. They can be purchased at many places including Ulta, Target, Forever21, and on essencemakeup.com.
