Review: Wet n Wild Makeup Brushes

Today I am going to share my thoughts on the Wet n Wild makeup brushes. I have had these for quite a while and am just getting around to reviewing them. I picked up some brushes at Dollar Tree while finding others at Walgreens. The larger face brushes cost $2.99 while the eye brushes cost around $1.00. Keep reading to hear my thoughts!

Wet n Wild Small Eyeshadow Brush

 I use this brush for applying eyeshadow after spraying the brush with fix plus. It does a decent job at applying wet eyeshadow and is good for packing onto the lid.

Wet n Wild Large Eyeshadow Brush

This brush is good for applying dry powder eyeshadow to your lid. I don't like it as much as other brushes that I use for doing this like my Morphe and Sigma eyeshadow brushes.

Wet n Wild Crease Brush

This brush is used for blending colors together in the crease and creating soft transitions. I didn't love this brush but it wasn't horrible either. It did a good job at blending but I don't think it picks up as much product as my other blending and crease brushes.

Wet n Wild Contour Brush

This contour brush is probably my favorite brush from the bunch that I picked up. I thought it was the blush brush from the above picture but when I actually pulled out the brush I realized its a contour brush. Its slightly angled. I don't use it for contouring. It does a good job at applying blush and blending it out nicely.

Wet n Wild Flat Top Brush

This densely packed flat top brush is used for applying both liquids and powders. I use to to apply my liquid foundation. The bristles are densely packed which makes for a good application. It did apply foundation a little streaky but I was able to blend out the streaks by applying in more of a swirling motion. This did the job but still not my favorite foundation brush.

Wet n Wild Powder Brush

This brush is used to applying pressed or loose powder to your face. I personally thought it was too small to use to apply powder all over my face. I prefer a much larger fluffy brush like the Real Techniques Powder Brush. I also thought it didn't pick up powder in the right way. I really can't explain it. I think maybe it had to do with the silky feel of the bristles.

Overall, I really didn't love these brushes. Some work better than others but I honestly don't find myself reaching for any of these over my other makeup brushes. I prefer the other brands that I own such as BDellium, Makeup Geek, Real Techniques, Morphe, etc. These brushes are obviously way cheaper and do a decent job for the $1.00-$3.00 price tag but I don't love the feeling of the bristles and don't think that they pick up makeup as well as others. I would say skip on these or use them as backup brushes when all the rest of your brushes are dirty or wet from being cleaned.
