Hey Guys,
Today I'm going to share my thoughts on the new Milani Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow Collection in Bare Necessities. I used to use Milani eyeshadows back in high school and thought that they were really good. I didn't really hop on the band wagon when they came out with their new shadows however, after seeing Elle's review of this palette on her blog Elle Sees, I had to pick it up! Keep reading to hear my thoughts.
Milani Everyday Eyes Powder Eyeshadow Collection in Bare Necessities $9.99
This palette comes with two matte shadows and four shimmer shadows. The colors range from champage shades, to deep bronze shades.
There are 6 different color palettes to choose. This palette seemed like the one that I would use the most as I tend to gravitate towards neutral shades.
The palette itself is nothing spectacular but I wasn't really concerned with the packaging. The quality of the shadows are far more important. Here are swatches of each color from left to right:
The first shade is a shimmer champagne shade. Next is a matte taupe/brown shade. The third shade is a goldish bronze color. The fourth shade is a deeper brown/bronze shade. The fifth shade is a white shimmer with gold flecks. The last shade is a matte dark brown.
Here is a look that I created using this palette:
Overall, I really love this palette! It exceeded my expectations for a drugstore palette and I am so glad that I picked it up! The colors are so soft and pigmented and blend so nice! The colors fade a little bit but nothing drastic. I didn't notice any serious creasing either. The only thing that I feel that this palette is missing is a matte cream brow highlight shade. This was well worth the $5.00 that I paid. Milani was BOGO 50% off at CVS when I purchased it. I am interested in a couple of the other palettes but need to look in to their reviews first. I didn't see great reviews on the Earthy Elements palette which is a bummer. However, I would like to pick up Must Have Naturals palette.
Have you tried this new Milani palette or any of the other ones? Post your comments below!
