Hi Ladies!
I hope that everyone had a nice and relaxing holiday with their family and friends! Today I'm going to share my Hello Pretty Bird x Memebox Collab Giveaway Prize! Rebecca from Hello Pretty Bird recently curated a special edition box with Memebox. She picked her favorite Korean makeup items to feature in the box and was hosting a giveaway for one of her boxes. I was the winner of her giveaway. I was so excited to try out all the products. Instead of reviewing each product separately, I decided to do a mini review of each.
Here are the items that I recieved!
This is a BB cream that has a purple tint to cancel out blemishes. It does give your skin a purple tint to it but it doesn't last once you start blending. The color itself is a bit too light for my skin but when I pair it with a pressed powder it does the trick. This BB cream gives nice coverage but you still need to spot conceal blemishes and dark circles. It definitely evens out my skin tone for a flawless look. I really like this BB Cream and would like to try their CC cream too!
How cute is this blush!? The packaging is so adorable. Its not the most pigmented blush I own but it is pretty decent. Its a light pink with no shimmer or glitter.
This is a pretty awesome brow pencil! It has a spoolie on one end and a retractable pencil on the other. The color is a light gray toned brow. That means that I can use this pretty heavy handed and it still looks natural on my brows. I have been using this alot on the days that I don't want to do a fully sculpted brow look. I quickly fill in my brows with this pencil, run the spoolie through it, then thow on some clear brow gel. The product stays on all day and doesn't fade or smudge. I will probably repurchase this once I run out since its fool proof and looks pretty natural.
When I first saw this shadow quad I thought that the packaging was gorgeous! I don't own anything quite this pretty or luxurious looking. When I swatched the colors, I thought that the pigmentation could be better BUT once I applied these shadows to my eyes, I was really pleased with the look that they created. The shadows are all shimmery. Referring to the swatched above, the first shade is a glittery champagne color, the second is a champagne shimmer, third is a peach shimmer, and the fourth is a shimmery medium brown. The shadows do not give super dramatic or extremely pigmented look but are very beautiful. They create a pretty peach neutral look. Even though the look is neutral, it does give a "glowing" look. I have used this quad a few times since receiving it and the colors don't crease and last all day. I was pleasantly surprised with this product.
This color is so pretty! Like the name, it is a wine color that has a bit of shimmer to it. This a gorgeous color to add to your outer v. It has good pigmentation and lasted all day.
This lip tint reminds me of Cool-Aid stained lips. It is a bright cherry red. The first time I wore it it looked good and lasted for more than half the day. I paired it with the lip balm that I recieved in this prize pack took. The second time that I wore it I tried wearing it alone. I don't think my lips were super dry but the stain dried chunky on my lips. I think it works better with another lip product applied to the lips first.
This is a normal liquid liner. It applied a little watery and I had to go over it lightly a couple times. When I first applied the liner, it took the color off my lid that I already drew. Once I got the liner to look the way I wanted, I thought that it looked pretty good. The liner lasted all day and didn't smudge or budge all day.
I'm very picky with mascaras and this didn't do much for me. It didn't give my lashes much length or volume. I am going to give it another chance and see if I can get it to look any better.
This concealer was a little too pink to use as a concealer for my undereyes by itself. It does work at brightening under the eyes when paired with a dark circle concealer first. I might also use this as a highlighter on other parts of my face.
This is a great lip balm! It gives a sheer wash of color while keeping your lips moisturized at the same time. This kind of reminds me of the Nivea colored lip balms that look similar. I have been using this a lot lately.
Here is a look at I created with the products discussed above:
Overall, I was really happy with this awesome giveaway prize! I think Rebecca did a great job at picking out items for this collab box. My favorite items were the Liole Dollish Veil Vita BB Cream, It's Skin Babyface Natural Eyebrow, and Missha Signature Velvet Art Shadow Quad. I am really interested in trying more makeup from these and other Korean makeup brands now!Have you tried any of these products or brands? Post your comments below!
