Hi Ladies!
This month literally flew by. It definitely wasn't my favorite month but I did do some cool blog related things. I wish I got to celebrate Halloween a bit more but there is always next year. I have been trying a ton of new products so lets jump right into my favorites this month.
This month literally flew by. It definitely wasn't my favorite month but I did do some cool blog related things. I wish I got to celebrate Halloween a bit more but there is always next year. I have been trying a ton of new products so lets jump right into my favorites this month.
I have been hunting for these babies for quite a while. My local CVS finally got a bunch in so I made sure to grab more than one shade. I picked up four of them but this is by far my favorite color. It reminds me of the Kylie Jenner lip color as well as the Gerard Cosmetics "1995" color by Jaclyn Hill. I have been wearing this ALOT lately. It is just a beautiful color for the fall.
As many of you know, I am getting my brows reshaped. One of the things that needed to be done is my brows needed to grow in a bunch of areas. To help with the brow growth, I purchased a cheaper alternative to Latisse. Though both are advertised to help lash growth, they work on your brows too. I have been pretty happy with the results using this product. I don't think the growth is solely due to the fact that I am using this. My brows grow fast in general but I definitely think this has helped. You can check out my before and after photos and my brow transformation HERE.
When getting my brows reshaped, I was shown how to highlight around my brows to make them look cleaner. When I was at Ulta picking up brow powder, I was going to get an Anastasia brow highlighter as well. The woman that helped me suggest this pencil/highlight duo saying that the highlighter works just as well as ABH ones and is a lot cheaper. I am so glad that she showed me this because I love it. Its creamy and blends nicely without any shimmer. I don't use the pencil end but think the price is well worth it for just the highlighter alone.
I was recently sent this product for review. You can check out my review HERE. This is a great exfoliant that makes my skin super soft and clean. I have been using it weekly and really enjoy it.
Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet in Vanilla $36.00 at Sephora
My sweet friend Lily from Beauty with Lily speaks highly of this mattifying foundation. I decided to go to Sephora and get a sample to try it out. After trying it out until the sample was gone, I decided that I liked this enough to purchase. I am going to try to use it sparingly since its pretty expensive. I think its a great matte foundation but it can get cakey if you apply too much (which I have done a fw times). It does a great job at giving a matte look but I do need to use blotting paper after a while.
I got this for a great deal on HSN. I have a review coming on this soon. This is a GREAT palette that I highly recommend to anyone. I have been using this palette the most out of any one that I own.
I also picked this up after reading a review that Lily did on it. This is a great powder and blends very well. I'm not sure if I should return it for a lighter color as it does look too dark if I apply too much. I have been using this every day since I purchased it. I need to go into the store and try out Caramel before making a final decision.
This is yet ANOTHER product that I picked up because of Lily. Can you tell that I trust her judgement in great beauty products? I originally picked up the shade in light and the neutralizer. The light shade was far too light for me. Also, pairing it with the neutralizer did nothing. I decided to give it another try in medium. This color matches me way better and does help cover my circles. It doesn't cover them completely but I honestly don't think anything ever will. I love the applicator and how nicely the product blends into my ski. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for an under eye concealer.
As you can see, Miss Lily's reviews have greatly impacted my beauty product purchases. Thanks to Lily for some great reviews!
I hope that you enjoyed reading about my favorites this month. Please let me know if you would like to see a review on any of the items mentioned above.
