Review: Lorac Pro Palette

Hi Ladies!
As many of you know, I have been lusting over the Lorac Pro Palette for months. My husband surprised me with one for Valentine's Day and it has quickly become one of my favorite palettes. The Pro Palette is very versatile and has a great mixture of mattes and shimmers. It comes with 8 matte shadows and 8 shimmer shadows. You can create so many different looks with these shadows ranging from a very natural day time looks to dark smokey eyes. The colors have a bit of fall out due to the creamy soft texture of the shadows but it doesn't bother me at all. The colors blend great and stay on all day (when pairing with a primer). This set also came with the Behind the Scenes Eye Primer which I liked. It worked well, I just wish that it had more of a color to cover the veins in my eyes. Once the shadows are on you can't see them.

Here are swatches of the shadows in the palette:

Here are some looks that I created with this palette:

Eyes:

*First I took Cream and applied it to my brow bone
*Next I took a large blending brush and blended Taupe into my crease as a transition color.
*Going over Taupe with a smaller contour brush I used Sable. After getting the right amount of color that I wanted on my crease, I used a medium sized blending brush to blend the color into the Taupe.
*Using Pewter, I packed the color onto my lids with a flat shadow brush.
*Using Champagne, I highlighted the inner corner of my lids.
*Next I gently swiped a thick shadow brush across my whole lid to ensure all the shadows were blended in nicely.
*After that, I lined my lower lash line with Sable.
*To finish off, I lined my water line with Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in Nude and my upper lash line with Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper.

Eyes:

*First I took Nude and applied it to my brow bone
*Next I took a large blending brush and blended Sable into my crease.
*Using Pewter, I went over Sable lightly.
*Using a flat shadow brush I packed Gold onto the lids. It was a little too GOLD for me so I then added Lt. Bronze on top of the gold.
*Using Nude, I highlighted the inner corner of my lids.
* I lightly applied the color Black to my outer V.
*After that, I lined my lower lash line with Sable and Pewter.
*Next I gently swiped a thick shadow brush across my whole lid to ensure all the shadows were blended in nicely.
*To finish off, I lined my water line with Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Liner in Nude and my upper lash line with Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner in Trooper.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a well rounded palette. For $42.00, it is well worth the money. It would be great for someone new to make up. It would also be a great pick for a makeup artist.
