Review: Urban Decay Naked 2

Hi Ladies,

I know that the Naked 2 isn't necessarily NEW but the palette is new to me. I will give just a little review of it and then show you some looks that I created with it.

First off, for both Naked 2 and 3 I like the packaging way better than the original palette. The velvet feels nice but picks up dirt, shadow, and other particles so it looks dirty. I never really used the brush from the first palette but I tried the brush with this one and I would say it is ok. I probably would not choose to use this brush over my everyday brushes. I liked that I got to try out a lip plumper that they sell. The color sort of blended in with my lips and didn't come out the color it looks in the tube. Also, although it gave a cool and refreshing feel, I don't feel that my lips looked any plumper. I most likely would not purchase a full size of this.

On to the shadows. Staying true to Urban Decay, these shadows are really pigmented and creamy. These shadows are not as bronzey or warm as the browns and neutrals in the original palette. They are more like shades of Taupe. I having a little trouble with these colors as they are more grayish than ones that I normally use. I have looked for ideas of looks to create with this palette and it has helped me become a little more comfortable with it. Right now, I still feel more comfortable with the original Naked palette and the Naked 3 because I have had a couple years to experiment with the first and have played around  more with the third.

Here are swatches of the colors:
