Skin care is very important if you want to have nice skin and help it age gracefully. While there are many factors that affect your skin such as genetics, habits, and the environment, taking care of it may counteract many of these things. Washing your face at least twice a day is a must. Also, it is very important to take off all of your makeup before bed. Sleeping in your makeup on is a BIG no no. Keeping your face moisturized is also important. I recommend doing this twice a day as well. While there are many great brands out there, expensive and inexpensive, I have come up with a list that I swear by.
Here are the skin care products that I love and use daily:
DayWear -Advanced Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant Creme Oil-Free Broad Spectrum SPF 25 $48.00 at Estee Lauder
I worked at Estee Lauder for a year back in college and found out about this awesome moisturizer. It helps prevent and fight the signs of aging. Its oil free so it works for all skin type and is packed with vitamins and anti oxidants. The moisturizer has cucumber extract in it so it has a clean, refreshing smell. I have tried a handful of other moisturizers and always end up back with this one.
Advanced Night Repair Eye $55.00 at Estee Lauder
This eye cream is a little expensive but worth it. It helps repair the first signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, dryness, and puffiness. It also protects against environmental damage. Lastly it helps hydrate and lock in moisture in your skin.
One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract $35.00 at Clarins
I came across this exfoliant also when I was working at Macy's. It has a great orange scent and makes your skin feel soft and smooth. It not only polishes your skin but also helps restore your skins natural moisture balance. This exfoliant is so gentle that you can use it twice a day if would would like.
Water Purify One-Step Cleanser with Mint Essential Water $33.00 at Clarins
I love this cleanser/toner. It smells so clean and helps wipe away impurities and dirt. I use it every morning. This specific One Step Cleanser is for oily/combination skin. There is also one with Peach is for normal/dry skin which I have also used.
e.l.f. Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths $3.00 at eyeslipsface.com
These makeup remover cloths are a steal. I was previously using the MAC makeup wipes but found that these work just as well.
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque $3.79 at Walgreens
I use this face mask when I have pimples. It helps dry them out and removes excess oil from your skin. It also helps with blackheads and reduces the appearance of pores.
Cucumber Facial Peel-Off Mask $3.99 at CVS
This face mask goes on clear and does hurt a little coming off. It helps remove impurities and leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth.
